Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona
I bought some musical equipment from a sound company, i became ill and could not make payments, the owner does not want his equipment back but wants his money....if i send him a little money when i can and he accepts it can I still go to jail for stealing? He is harrassing me by email and phone. Any info would be so helpful, thxs

You entered into a purchase agreement with the intention of paying the amount agreed upon. Your inability to pay now does not turn this into a theft, thus you cannot be prosecuted. The seller's recourse against you is to sue you for breach of contract.
