i have a credit card and a car loan at a credit union i lost my job. can the credit union repossess my car if i am unable to pay my credit card

my car payments are not late

No. But, if you have money in an account at the same credit union, they might be able to take money out of the account to pay credit card or car loan. This is called a Right to Offset. I would have to see your account holder agreements, loan docs, etc to give you a real answer.
