Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona
Charge offs
I have a charge off on my credit which looks terrible. The problem is it was my ex-wifes non payment of a auto loan that I was not aware off. In our divorce papers she took responsiblity for her car and I took it for mine. Is there anyway to get this mess off my record. It is killing my credit and I dont feel it is my wrong doing.

Re: Charge offs
You may be able to file a formal dispute with the credit reporting agencies. By doing so, they will investigate whether you were a listed party on the loan. If not, they should remove the charge off from your credit reports.
