Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona
Civil Arrest
I have been issued a summons to appear in court in a civil matter. The summons says that if I don't appear, a civil arrest warrant may be issued and I may be arrested. The case is concerning money I allegedly owe to a financial institution in excess of repossesed property. Is it likely that a civil arrest warrant will be issued? Won't the court just issue a judgement against me?
Thanks
Rick

Re: Civil Arrest
Sounds like a judgment has already been granted against you and the Plaintiff/Creditor has filed a Motion for Supplemental Proceedings, i.e. Debtor Exam, where the creditor will ask you questions relevant to your financial situation. If you fail to show up, then a civil arrest warrant will issue and a bond is typically set.
