Collection

I am being sued from a collection company regarding a debt from 2003, last i paid was 10/2005, i signed an arbitration agreement with the original creditor. Can this collection company who bought the accoutn from bank of america sue me?

If the collection company can prove that they purchased your delinquent account from Bank of America, and if they can produce a witness that is able to authenicate the documents that they have, then the answer to your question is "yes".

However, that requires a much higher degree of documentation and authentication than the average "bad debt buyer" can produce.

These organizations rely upon consumers to represent themselves, who will usually get lost in the legal system and its rules, and will be unable to defend themselves effectively.
