if i have a collections company after me for money owed to an appartment complex, can they take my vehicle? I would need my car to work to get money right? Would they be able to take it away from me?

If a creditor obtains against you a judgment, it can obtain a writ of execution to take personal property, including a vehicle. If you vehicle has in it any equity, they may well decide to take it.
