Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona
I don't want a credit judgment
I have been summoned to appear in court. A collection agency has bought my very old credit debt and is now suing me. How do I respond? Is there a legal form to use? The company that now owns my account does not want to settle. They say they won't accept a small monthly payment? Can they do that?

You need to file an Answer or you will lose by default. There is a statute of limitations on claims like this. I would have to know more about the debt to give any advice. See an attorney.
They do not have to settle or accept a small monthly payment.
If they win this lawsuit, they can garnish your wages and bank accounts.
