Divorced
I have a friend who has been
divorced 10 years. He has just been
served with papers to pay for a debt
his ex wife hasn't paid since 2004.
The account was opened when they
weren't married and she added him
to the account when they were
married. Is he responsible to pay for
the debt because they can't find her?

No; he needs to hire an attorney to represent him. He may have a claim against them, also. If he can't find an attorney on the LawGuru site, have him check www.naca.net to get an attorney in his area who handles such cases.
