financial responsiblily

My husband bought a new car without my knowledge. He is extremely irresponsible. If he defaults on the payments am I responsible even though I am not on the contract and had no prior knowledge?

The simple answer is yes. Arizona is a community property state and debts are included as part of the community. One spouse can bind the community. The exceptions being purchases of real estate and surety contracts.
