Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

Student Loan

I co-signed for ex step-daughters student loan. She won't pay. I'm making payments. Can I sue her and her husband, and put leins against any property. They are in AZ. Thats where I co-signed. Also, can I sue her Mother who was equally responsible for anything I signed, too?

Re: Student Loan

You can probably sue her. Her husband and her mother might be more problematic depending if they also co-signed on the loans. By co-signing you guaranteed that you would be personally responsible for paying the loan back in the event that your daughter couldn't make the payments.
