Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

I am totally disabled and received a civil summons. My only pay is Social Security and VA Disabliity (both Gov't) and I understand they can not be garnished. My car may be worth $500.

Must I do a Response with the Office of the Clerk? What if I ignore and a judgement is against me?

If you do not file an answer, a default judgment may be entered against you. That could have an adverse impact on your credit. In addition, if you receive future property, or own other property, a judgment lien can be placed against such property. It may be easier to answer now or discuss with your own counsel to confer with plaintiff's counsel. Good luck.
