Depending on what the prior conviction is, you may be able to get your conviction expunged. You will need someone to review your case and circumstances, and then prepare and file the appropriate paperwork with the court. At some point after filing, the court would hold a hearing to determine the outcome. You can try to do it on your own; I can and do handle such matters.
