agg assualt against a law inforcement officer

what are the general sentences if convicted of aggravated assualt against a law inforcement officer for 1st time offenders? is it possible to use prior assualts and could that change the length of sentencing. can the sentence be increased if the person is a repeat offender? is there any know cases where the person's charges were dropped or found not guilty? what is the probability of a guilty sentence. what would be a basic plea barrgain offered? or what would you consider a good deal? the person has been in and out of prison and for agg assault at least 2 times. he was arrested and then while in custody he assualted and officer. which is now a felony count. what is the basic steps in the process of a trial or conviction
