Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

when your name has been used as an alias

A friend of mine has had his name used as an alias and we are concerned as to whether or not this could jeopardize him in any way.

Someone was stopped riding a bicycle one evening and when asked his name, he gave my friends name. Well this person was being accused of throwing some drugs on the ground before stopped by police and was going to be arrested until a more important call came in that caused the officers to release him.

Should my friend worry about charges, etc. coming up at a later date? Is there something he should do or can do to prevent him from getting into trouble for something he did not do?

Please help if you can, I don't know who else to ask or anywhere else I can check for such answers.

Re: when your name has been used as an alias

Your friend should be concerned. Proactive legal intervention should take place so that your friend is not arrested at a later date. This could be substantial unnecessary hassles including jail time. Also with identity theft, there is a potential for his credit history to be compromised as well. Definitely get someone working on this asap. Contact me if I can assist.
