Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
Does Arizona have a 3 strike law? What would the consequences be if a person has 2 prior assault convictions and a 3rd pending?

I apologize for the delay in responding to this question. Our firm recently moved into CityScape in Phoenix and I was unable to access my LawGuru account for a period of time during that transition.
In response to your question, no, Arizona does not have a 3 strike law however there are some certain offenses (serious crime offenses) where a third conviction would require a sentence to life imprisonment. Whether or not this would apply in the situation you are asking about will depend on what kind of assault convictions this person already has.
