The court has the opiton of sending the person to prison, reinstating the person on probation, reinstating with more jail time, terminating with more jail time, or even terminating the probation without any additional sanctions. Which opiton the court exercises depends on how long the person has been on probation, how the person was doing on probation, the nature of the violation (how serious), and the recommendations of the prosecutor and probation department.
