Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
attorney dies
my father who was an attorney died this past july. i was
unable to go to arizona. all of his client case files
were taken by a woman i know and will not hand them over.
i need to know who i can contact in order to have the
proper authorities go get the files and turn them over
to the proper people. i only want to do what it right
for his clients.

Contact the Arizona Bar Association and explain the situation. They should be able to give you a few names to help you.

Is this woman an attorney? If so, did your father have any type of arrangement that she would handle his files. In terms of your getting his files, do you have an attorney who will assume responsibility for his cases, clear his trust account, etc. If all else fails, call the state bar in Phoenix.
