My boyfriend was arrested for breaking a cell phone last Saturday. The phone was purchased and bills were paid for by him. What charges/ jail time/ fines could he be facing? We live in Arizona, and the police stated he could not contact me or our child until this Thursday after he see's the Judge & prosecutor.
1 Answer from Attorneys
There's not enough detail here for me to accurately and adequately answer your questions. I suggest you contact and consult an attorney directly so he/she can learn all of the applicable circumstances and then properly advise you. But theoretically your boyfriend could be charged with theft, disorderly conduct, reckless damage of property etc. All at most would be class one misdemeanors, carrying a maximum of 6 months in jail, $2500 fine, 3 years probation etc.
