Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
Is it possible to change the wording of my conviction? I was convicted of a misdemeanor. The original charge was child prostitution. They could not get a felony conviction because there was no minor involved. However, I am now stuck with a misdemeanor child prostitution charge. I have been turned town for 3 jobs this week because of this. Is there a way to change the child prostitution to pandering? I say this because there was another person who with much deeper pockets than mine was able to hold out for the pandering charge, otherwise everything about our case was identical.

The statute which you were convicted is the one that will appear on your record in your case child prostitution. Pandering is a different statute. Because of this there is no way to change your conviction from child prostitution to pandering.
