Was caught, $495.oo value, guilty - will plead guilty. Is it advisable for me to have a lawyer if I am not fighting the charges? This is a first offense.

Without a lawyer, you are most likely going to accept whatever the prosecutor is going to offer you to plead guilty. A private lawyer can help you get a better deal, even if you desire to plead guilty. If you wish to hire a private attorney, give me a call or e-mail me.
