Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
I was convicted of sexual conduct with a teen age minor eleven years ago. I feel that I am still being punished for the crime even though I completed my sentence of five years probation, sex therapy and community service. I have paid all fines and have completed all sexual offense requirements. I still have to get my drivers license renewed every year and reregister everytime I move. I am being turned down for jobs because of this being on my record even when the job doesn't concern children. I know of no other crime where a person has to pay for the rest of their life. I want to know if there is some way I can get this expunged from my record?
Thank you for your time,
John M Hopkins

Yes. You could apply for it to be set aside by the court. Then it would not show up as a conviction on your record.
