The officer could be charged with aggravated assault or disorderly conduct with a weapon. The officer could also face an internal investigation and possible disciplinary consequences.
I have represented numerous officers in the past in similar situations. Typically it is better to have private counsel rather than the union counsel. If the officer is looking to hire counsel, he should call me at (six zero two) two two two nine two three seven.
