Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
I'm curious as to how a prosecutor can arbitrarily decide what to charge two suspects with when the deal maker of the 2 suspects decides to "work with" prosecution. One suspect is charged with several counts of trafficking as well as 2 counts of burglary. The deal maker gets charged with one count of theft, and one of burglary when he admitted being a part of the trafficking. It sure appears to be a disparity of charges, both suspects are young white men. The deal maker has cops for parents. Sure looks like unequal justice to me. Your thoughts will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The person who talks first gets the better deal usually when there are multiple defendants, and the prosecutor doesn't care.
