Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
Dear Lawyer, I work for the state department of corrections and worked with a felon who did time under my supervision. She is released from prison now and finished parole and no longer considered "on paper" or supervised. My question is what ramifications can be brought on me for having a non-sexual relationship ,but non the less friendship and contact with her and her family? . We would like to attend Church, and sociallize together but are concerned this might be illegal. I can't find any State policy on this. Thank you for your help

I don't think anything is stopping you from having a friendship with her and/or her family. You're not her "supervisor" or her "warden" or anything like that anymore. It's just a one-on-one relationship and you are both on the same level: just ordinary people. Good luck!
