Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
I have a felony in Arizona from 2003. I'm trying to figure out what career I should pursue because i'm going back to school but know my choices are limited. Can you help???? The biggest problem I face is my ex-husband's crime is on my felony instead the one they said they were going to convict me of. Which by the way is dangerous crimes against children. I was only supposed to have attempting to obstruct a criminal investagation. I didn't hurt any children I was just an idiot and believed what my ex told me.

I'm very concerned about your statement of procedural facts. That you did not know- or don't know- what crime it is to which you pleaded guilty is astonishing. Were you represented by an attorney? That attorney is the one to whom you should speak first. From what you've said, no on-line attorney will be able to answer your question or respond to you in detail until the legal issues presented in this question are cleared up. It is inconceivable that you went into a Superior Court anywhere- including Arizona- and pleaded guilty to a dangerous crime against a child thinking that you were pleading to obstruction of a criminal investigation. These are very different crimes with enormously different jeopardy attached to them. Your statement that your "ex-husbands crime is on [your] felony except the one they said...." creates grave concern that cannot be addressed in this manner. An online answer beyond telling you that you should consult with a criminal defense attorney in depth and in person would not be very helpful to you.
