Finding an attorney
If you don't have the money for an attorney, are there any other options besides using a public defender? Is using a public defender necessarily a bad thing?

Re: Finding an attorney
Using a PD is usually a good thing. They have a great deal of experience in the courtroom, and are well informed concerning local judges and their dispositions. The down side is they seldom have time to meet with clients more than once shortly before trial or plea, and cannot talk on the phone to allay fears and other concerns of clients and families.
