Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
Forgery
Our daughter passed away in Arizona 10/24/03. Before we could get the information to her employer, her last pay check was mailed to her address. Her boy friend signed and cashed the check. Do we have any recourse against him.
We want the money to go to her 2 1/2 year old son.

Re: Forgery
Yes. He is civilly liable to your daughter's estate for the amount of the check, and he has also committed a crime. Jurisdiction is with the District Attorney in the county in which the mail and check were delivered.
