Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

What is going to happen to me

I sent marijuana in the mail and ''they''(usps inspectors) intercepted package before it ever left the county(it was intended to go out of state). it was approx. 7-10 grams sent in a container in coffee. they have tried contacting the recipient, but have been unable too. They did talk to his girlfriend however and they wanted permission to open the package but she said she couldn't do that. nobody has contacted me yet. however, being smart as i am.... i thought it would look better if i paid for it with my debit card. (yes, i will darwins stupid person of the year award!) what should i expect to happen and any idea of a time frame?

Re: What is going to happen to me

I having handled many many marijuana shipment cases. I am almost sure that investigators got a search warrant for a package and they will identify you. Don't despair. I have been able to successfully intervene in such situations in the past and keep my client from being arrested. It is possible that they could search your home so be smart if you think this could be a problem for you. You need to hire counsel... and quickly. I am a member of NORML's Legal Committee and understand your situation well. You can reach me at (six zero two) two two two - nine two three seven.
