Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
Helpppp
received an email from a detective
today telling me I need to contact
him about a possible stolen bike ad
that was posted on craigslist. He said
he needed to know who the buyer
was so he could match serial
numbers. I get an email in the
morning saying you better call me
right now or I'm calling the police so
I was like what??? I call the lady up
and she starts accusing me of
burglary and wants to know who I
work for and all sorts of crazy stuff. I
told her I have no idea what she is
talking about and she said don't
mess with me I want my laptop back
and I want to know how you got in
my house??? She said if you do this
I won't press charges so I said
whatever I will call you back I need
to get a hold of my friend that was
selling the bike. She said I thought
you were and I told her no he posted
the ad and was responding not me
and I've never even seen this bike.
So I look for my friend to see what
the hell is going on and of course
can't find him. So I call her back and
explained to her who he was and
why he used my email to post the
ad. She starts yelling at me telling
me she doesn't care and I'm the one
responsible for this and I'm going to
jail.

Re: Helpppp
It appears that you are being investigated for trafficking in stolen property. You really need to get counsel, and before you contact the police. I have had many clients in similar situations and things have worked out well for them. If are looking to hire a private attorney, give me a call.
