Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
Leaving the scene of an accident
Here is the scenario: someone is involved in a multiple car accident (hit from behind), but they are not the cause of the accident, and their car registration and plates were suspended at the time of the accident due to their insurance policy lapsing a couple of months prior, and they left the scene of the accident for fear of being fined or imprisoned for driving with a suspended registration and suspended plates, how should this person proceed? What should be their next move?

Leaving the scene is criminal, a felony if there were injuries, thus this person should have a criminal defense attorney investigate the matter and then determine the next move.
