Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

Is there anything I can do?

I lived with a friend of mine and her husband...one day the husband decided to put a lock on our fridge and also took the fuses out of my car, the fuses which operate my ignition and my power brakes. I was wondering if there were any charges I could press or anything I could do. Thank you

Re: Is there anything I can do?

You probably could press charges if you have proof that the husband took the fuses. This may fit the crimes of auto tampering, petty theft and possibly auto burglary. Having said this, I'm not sure that filing a complaint will solve the real problem here. It could make the situation even worse. I would suggest that you discuss your differences with the husband and try to work out whatever the problems are. If it is not possible to do this yourself, you might seek intervention through someone you both respect or a professional person or mediation service. It may be that someone will have to move before tensions escalate to the point that court intervention is unavoidable.
