what is a notice of disclosure and request for disclosure

When the State files charges against someone then they have to give them (or their attorney) disclosure. This is in compliance with rule 15.1, so attorneys usually call it a 15.1. Then the defense has to file a response to that saying what defenses they might use, who their witnesses will be, etc. That is commonly called a 15.2. These are standard in every criminal case.
