Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
Can a person be charged with theft 13 years after the fact in Arizona. I was contacted this morning by a company threatening me with criminal charges for not paying a ring off and failing to return it. I am pretty sure it was returned

It is possible to be charged after 13 years but the long delay suggests possible issues with proof. The prosecutor would determine whether any prosecution would proceed based on the facts deduced during the police investigation.
