Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

Please, someone read and get back to me,

I am on the verge of filing bankruptcy partly due to an ex boyfriend that I tried to help start up his business and he won't give me the DJ equipment and anything else for the business back so I can sell them. I have charged or given him money for personal issues which I have papers that he will pay me back.

Can I sue him in Superior Court and get the items back so I can sell them? Also I paid for his van and made very expensive repairs for that which I have credit card statements to prove it. Can I repo his van?

I also had a couple of charges go through my bank account that were not authorized that my bank is investigating and I think it was the same person. If it was him I will prosecute him for that.

Please someone answer me. I am in desperate need of some insight.

Your help in starting up his business might be looked at as a gift unless there was paperwork indicating you were an investor or partner or something of the kind. If you are seen as a creditor, you could sell the items to get your money back if the business has failed.

As for the identity theft, yes you could sue him to recover that, or your bank may provide those services for you.
