registered sex offenders

why is it that i show a guy by the name oif tim smith, hes a sex offender with a child involved..yet i cant find why hes not registered?? this confuses and highly worries me

Sex offenders are generally required to register with local law enforcement within 10 days of their discharge from the criminal justice system, provided the Judge imposed that requirement at time of sentencing. Not all do.

If you have specific reliable information that a convicted sex offender is required to register and has not, report that to your local sheriff or other law enforcement agency. Be sure your information is correct, a wrong report could cause you [and them] a great deal of trouble.
