If you have a sex offender living in your home...and he offends in your home..is the owner of the home liable?

Criminally, it's very unlikely. Civilly, I think that if the SO re-offends in your home and you know his status ahead of time,you could be the subject of a lawsuit. Your homeowner's insurance policy may or may not cover the claim.
