Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

What can I do about being sexually violated by my dad?

My father sexually assualted me when I was 22 years old. He has intimated and scared me into doing nothing. He has threaten me and my family that if I would to ever say anything to anyone he would send a letter to the newspapers and my employment telling them lies about me. I would like him to pay for what he has done to me and let him know he can't bully me and my family anymore. I still to this day have trouble sleeping at night because of what he did. Is there anything I can do? Sue for damages, mental stress, or charge him with rape or something? This happened 8 years ago and I am just getting up enough courage to face him. Is it to late?
