what will happen if i don't show up for a

court case after being issued a subpoena.

You will likely be held in contempt for failing to obey a lawful court order, and a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest. Once you are arrested, the punishment for the wilful failure to obey the subpoena is up to the judge.
