Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

I got a speeding ticket back in March and I have been asking for contiuances so I could take a driving class. My court date was reschedule for Aug. 20. Aug 1 I get pulled over for driving on a suspended license which I didn't know I had. The dmv said it was suspended because i didn't take a driving course which I still had 2 weeks to take before my court date. So my question is can the dmv suspend your license before your court date?

It is most likely the court reported to the MVD your failure to comply with the orders of the court including an order to suspend your license, notified MVD, and then MVD suspended your license. It could be an error on the part of the court.
