Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
theft
i was called by police officer to come there to answer questions.there was a theft where i used to work and i was seen in the vacinity.they recovered the stolen item.this was many weeks ago.do i have to go there to answer questions.said if i do not cooperate they will get a warrant ????? if they really thought o took something wouldn't they just come and arrest me ?????

As a citizen of the United States you have the right to remain silent under the 5th Amendment to the US Constitution. That means you do not have to go to them, and you do not have to speak with them about anything. If they get a warrant, immediately contact a criminal defense attorney for specific advice about how to proceed.
