Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

Underage Consumption

I was recently pulled over for going 30 in a 25 designated area in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am 17 years of age and had drank 1-2 beers earlier that night. I also had 2 unoppened beer cans in the vehicle with me. I passed all the tests but blew an approximate .043 on the breath test. What punisment am I most likely looking at?

Re: Underage Consumption

Scottsdale is a tough jurisdiction on underage drinking. The laws are made by the State legislature, but enforced differently in different jurisdictions.

The charge most likely to keep you up at night will likely be the 4-244.33 (under the age of 21 while operating a motor vehicle with alcohol in your system). It comes with fines, but a rather large driving suspension from MVD. There is also the DUI charge only requires that you were driving while impaired to the slightest degree.

My site w w w. scottsdale-duilawyer.com discusses the issues that minors have after an arrest like yours. Plus you can come in for a free consultation.

Good luck
