Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
What do I need to do about my warrant
January of this year I was arrested in Tucson, Arizona and charged with domestic violence and possession of drug paraphanelia. I went to jail and was bailed out the next day. I moved back to California and missed my court date. Now I have a failure to appear warrant. How do I get it taken care of? Here is a link to my case information... http://jp.co.pima.az.us/casesearch/DisplayCT.php?casenumber=CR06602287A&case_type=crim

Re: What do I need to do about my warrant
Two ways of handling it. One is with an attorney, which I would recommend. We file a Motion with the judge to reset the hearing and lift the warrant. It would be reset and we would ask the judge to not forfeit the bond. I could then look at the evidence and we would either fight it or speak with the prosecutor. If you want to go it alone, then you have to write the court, addressing it to the judge. Include your case no., address, telephone, etc. You explain why you couldn't appear and request the hearing to be reset. You will get info. back on the new hearing date. If you want to discuss hiring a private attorney, please contact me at [email protected]. My rates are reasonable and we can get it all cleared up.
