Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Arizona
Do I have a basis for a suit against an educational institution
I recieved a rejection letter from a medical college second year in a row. I am a foreign doctor trying to become a physician assistant. Is it legal for a school not to give you an answer why they do not accept me? From the list of "the most common reasons", the most of which are objective(GPA, years of experience, etc.) do not apply to me. Though in the private conversation with the dean of the school I was told that it was the interview. Can this subjective 10-15 minutes interview by a commette of 3 people, very possible they were not qualified interviers( one of whom was a student) "undo" not just average, but better than average objective credentials including 2 evaluations of my personality from people holding graduate degrees in communication and psychology. There are some other aspects of this matter though, including how the interview was conducted and some statements of the faculty about foreign doctors. Do I have a basis for a suit? What is your opinion. All I want is to determine if the situation was unfair AND illigal, in order to protect the applicants such as myself from this kind of treatment.

Affirmative action, race, ethnicity, gender, age, quality of recommendations, how many applicants were accepted, the breakdown of accepted candidates into categories, the qualifications of those accepted, where does Arizona stand on affirmative action, what does the U.S. District Court for the region stand on discrimination in education. . . .
