Legal Question in DUI Law in Arizona

DUI charge and failure to appear in court

My friend has missed a court appearance in Arizona, he was charged with DUI. He has basically ''ran away'' the charge was from three years ago. He has left the country but will be returning in 10 days to face the charge. We have been told he will be facing anything from 1-3 years prison sentance. Can anyone confirm exactly what is going to happen to him?

Unfortunately your question is a little vague. I do not know if this is a misd or a felony. Regardless, if it is his first offense, he would not be doing anything close to that amount of time, unless there was an inury involved...a major accident.
