dui drug possession charges

during a dui stop, me & my boyfriend were both charged with possession of the same bag of marijuana & also a pipe (paraphenalia) that my boyfriend was carrying. is there any options i have as he admitted full possession of said items? also my name is misspelled on the citations for the dui and possession charges... i heard this may be to my advantage but i dont know... help please?

Misspelled name means nothing. The State can always correct the complaint.

Boyfriend admitting possession should get you off the hook on the possession issue. BUT, get a good lawyer. Also, if you drove and had marijuana metabolite in your urine, you could be convicted of DUI Drugs (one year license suspension, etc.) If you were just the passenger, no worries.
