I was pulled over leaving the parking lot of a bar at 2:15 am. I came to a full stop, signaled right and turned. All of a sudden there is a motorcycle cop behind me with his lights on. I was arrested and charged with a dui,. He claimed that I had cut him off and he had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting me as I left the parking lot which he completely made up. I was at the bar with a co worker that saw the entire stop from his parked vehicle. He says when he saw me get pulled over he had no idea why it happened and that I was a good 40 yards down the road before the officer even appeared in view. Will his testimony be helpful to me in court and what are some of the variables the court will consider?

If what you say is deemed by the court to be accurate (especially if you have independent witnesses) it "might" result in a dismissal on the basis that the cop did not have a valid basis to stop/detain you. If you already have an attorney you need/should talk to him/her. If you don't have an attorney, you need to retain one and consult with him about your case and options. Do not represent yourself.
