Hello I had a question. I got an agrivated dui about 3 years ago which is a class six felony. I had a suspended licence and got pulled over while i had some drinks and thats how i got it. My question is am i able to still have a fire arm with this class six felony on my record?

No. Actually, your Aggravated DUI started out as a Class IV Felony and it got reduced to an "Opened Ended Felony VI." You are a prohibited possessor with ANY Felony conviction on your record. BUT, you can ask your lawyer to file a Petition with the Court to have your Open Ended Class VI Felony designated as a Class I Misdemeanor. If your lawyer explains in the Petition that the Felony conviction is hurting your professional or educational opportunities, you Petition may be granted. DO NOT MENTION FIREARMS IN YOUR PETITION. We have enough idiots running around with guns. Good luck.
