If not charged but subpoenaed to testify, can I be charged if I self-incriminate?

HELL YES!!! Look, you better go out and hire competent counsel NOW!!!
Absolutely invoke the your 5th Amendment right to remain silent "because anything you say may tend to incriminate you."
The Stated may then offer you "Immunity" if you testify. Now, THIS IS CRITICAL" Before you offer any testimony at all, insist on TRANSACTIONAL Immunity and NOT USE Immunity.
