Legal Question in DUI Law in Arizona

warrants

Applying for AZ drivers license, do they search just the state now licensed in, or do they search others states as well? I'm currently licensed in NV with a clean record. However I have an open DUI warrant from another state 21 years ago.

Re: warrants

There is an Interstate Compact which may show matters that have gone to warrant for failure to appear. I suggest you retain a lawyer in the state where you have the 21 year old case and get it resolved. It won't be so bad for you - Maybe the cops, witnesses, etc., won't be available andthe state will dump the case. BUT, if you don't reslve the old case, it will ALWAYS be a cloud on your D/License. Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving! Ed
