Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

18 and confused....

Hello and good afternoon.

I have an important question regaurding rights of being 18 years of age.

I am 18 years old and have not graduated yet, but soon will. My mom doesn't want me to live with her so she send me to my aunt and uncle's house. From then on I noticed they don't work and they barely do anything. They make me do all of their work and I feel like I am doing to much. I know if I want to work I will get a job, but the problem is that they refuse me to get a job and insead they make me do all of their chores. I have chores like dishes and cutting the grass, but they want me to do more seven days a week all day. Is there a law for this or are they allowed to treat me like this.

With all do of respect I wish to know the laws of what they can do and what they cannot do if possible.

Thank you for your time.

Re: 18 and confused....

You are now legally an adult. However, as long as you reside with your uncle and aunt, their rules will apply.
